Misanthropist's Opine

Oh, the absurdity of human beings

unable to get over the hump of dumbness

coming out of unconsciousness into consciousness

seeing the reflection of ourselves in the water

having our wow, that's me, out of body experience

Oh, the superstitious stupidity of mankind

believing in the now known to be ridiculous

allowing our egos to invent answers as we go along

making decisions based on selfish arrogance

like animals ruling by the supreme power of might

Oh, the foolhardiness of Homo-sapiens

choosing to ignore the new knowledge of science

holding onto our delusional and fictional storytelling

thinking the dead need to be reminded to rest in peace

being sorrowfully ignorant and pitifully oxymoronic
