The baby sees the tit, she eyes it as a treasure
as nothing's ever better, at filling her with pleasure
The toddler holds the toy, the trinket seizes power
he coddles it with wonderment, hour after hour
The grammar child seeks prizes, awarded and achieved
forgetting to be thankful, and never saying please
The high schoolers want kisses, are happy holding hands
don't care about tomorrow, and ignore their parent's plans
College kids covet success, set their goals to get ahead
but soon find life's not easy, then settle for less instead
Grownups push for power, wealth fills their empty space
abandoning all humanity, they betray the human race
